The most fundamental resource is the air we breathe.

For you, for me, for every cell, system, and function of the body. It is what sustains life.

In yoga we say that the breath is our connection to the universal force that supplies our individual force, and as such, conveys the inherent wisdom of life. The carrier of consciousness and the reminder that everything comes and goes, just like the inhale and the exhale.

In science, we see how the breath supports the body in anatomical, physiological and energetic aspects, and allows for the coordination between all functions.

On a personal level, it is my continuous reminder that life supports me through each activity, every choice, and every moment of my life. With each breath I take. Literally.

And is abundant enough to support you too, and all other living beings on this planet. Plus, it’s free.

Meet Carina

With a strong passion and interest for health, Carina devoted her studies to conventional and allopathic medicine, with a BSc in Microbiology & Immunology at McGill University; including studies in the Faculty of Pharmacology in Montpellier, France.

Her main intentions and questions have always revolved around finding the optimal conditions to reestablish health and to maintain health. Through her yoga studies and practices, Carina now creates a bridge between human Physiology and Yoga Philosophy. 

With extensive training and over 20 years experience, Carina now offers private consultations to address particular health needs of each individual; and facilitates Anatomy, Physiology, Stress Management and other aspects Yoga Therapeutics via Teacher Training Programs. 

The passion and curiosity continue, and fuel her ongoing quest to share the essentials of health, and how to make it accessible, efficient, and sustainable.

Having a strong academic background in health sciences, Carina’s approach to yoga integrates anatomy, physiology, immunology as well as tools for mental clarity, emotional intelligence, stress management, (and much more!), in order to establish and maintain optimal health.

Years of experience have helped her to understand that health can not be reduced to a given part, or or any single particle, rather the interplay between all aspects of the body and the being communicating, and contributing to, balance and resilience to best meet the needs of each moment.

When addressing a specific diagnosis, condition, or imbalance, Carina takes the time to explain to you what this diagnosis means, which bodily system it relates to, and how we can create Yoga for You: a practice specifically designed and catered for you, your preferences, and your needs. 

Practicing Yoga for You helps establish the necessary conditions for healing to happen.

The yoga practice goes beyond the idea of simply doing stretches on a yoga mat. The tools  used are a blend of somatic awarness, breathing at its best, posture correction, guided relaxation, meditation and mentality, stress management – eliminate, manage and become more resilient – overcome habits – learn life-enhancing skills – refined communication to talk and to listen with more clarity, emotional intelligence – to recognise and respond more efficiently – education – learning the why and the how these tools can be applied at their best any time, all the time. 

From the moment I met Carina, my life has shifted and expanded in so many ways. I have learned the art of cultivating balance in my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and feel so empowered to take care of my wellbeing in simple and practical ways. Be able to maintain that balance is what has allowed my life to open in in ways I could have never imagined, allowing me to experience flow in my life and in my work. I have a better relationship and understanding of my health since working with Carina.
