A combination of anatomical theory and Yoga practice will help outline the key alignment principles of Hatha Yoga. Understand the interrelationship between the structure & function of the body , as well as the anatomical support of the breath. Understanding Anatomy will support your Yoga practice and teaching; practicing Yoga will support your Anatomy.
Posture correction
Outlining the key alignment principles and the interrelationship between the body’s bony structures and fascia. Develop your eye for correcting and assisting, as well as the use of verbal communication and demonstration.
Physiology
Learn how breathing plays a key role in the link between structure and function, and how it governs the nervous system, digestion, circulation, immune functions and more.
Learn optimal breathing and optimal functioning on and off the mat and in your everyday.
Channel through the Chakras Accompanied by live music
A series of exercises that help to awaken and cultivate the energy of each chakra. Accompanied by Pierre-Oliver Marcoux, who plays everything including (& not limited to) gongs, bowls, handpan, kalimba and many other rare instruments that create a perfect musical landscape.
The guided meditation is followed by an extended savasana, with a sound bath, to deepen and to integrate the benefits of this magical experience.
Stress management, and the 5 (common) senses
The 5 senses, as we learn in Mindfulness Meditation, is a simple and effective way to govern the nervous system, which manages (or not!) our stress levels. The 5 senses are with us at all times, making this balance available, accessible, and easy to attain.
